Sopore Police arrested one drug peddler and recovered Contraband Substances
Sopore, 10 April 2025: (JKNN)/In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police have arrested one drug peddler and recovered Contraband Substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Sopore headed by SHO PS Sopore Insp. Ayaz Gellani under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS during naka checking at Super Bazar near Batpora Crossing, apprehended one person identified as Asif Ahmad Sheikh S/O Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh R/O Shahabad Sopore
During the search Police Party recovered two sticks of contraband charas like substance from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 52/2025 under relevant sections of Law has been registered at Police Station Sopore & investigation has been initiated.
Sopore police urges the common masses to give information regarding narcotics or any other crimes to the nearest police establishment or dial 112.
General Public is requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per the law.
