
Srinagar, June 13: The Journalist Association Kashmir (JAK) has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Junaid Ahmad Wani, Chief Manager at J&K Bank, son of Abdul Rahman Wani, originally a resident of Pahalgam and presently residing at Badshah Nagar, Natipora, Srinagar. He was the beloved brother of Kashmir’s renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Zaid Ahmad Wani.
In a condolence message, members of the journalist fraternity described the demise as a great loss and extended their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.
Bilal Bhat, Editor-in-Chief of Awami Reporter, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Junaid Ahmad Wani and said that his demise has left his family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers in deep grief. He described him as a respected professional who earned admiration through his integrity, dedication and commitment to public service.
Prominent journalist Tabish Bukhari and several other members of the media fraternity also expressed their condolences and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
The association noted that Junaid Ahmad Wani was widely respected in banking circles for his professionalism and exemplary service. His passing is not only a personal loss for the family but also a significant loss for colleagues and associates who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
The Journalist Association Kashmir prayed that Almighty Allah grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, forgive his shortcomings, and bestow patience, strength and courage upon Dr. Zaid Ahmad Wani and the entire bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
