War-Like Stores Seized in Kupwara During Joint Operation

Kupwara, April 6, KNT: A joint team of the Kupwara Police and the Indian Army’s 47 Rashtriya Rifles has recovered a large cache of arms and other items in the Kandi forest area of Kupwara district.

The operation, part of a Search and Destroy mission, led to the discovery of a machine gun, seven hand grenades, 90 loose rounds of ammunition, a Chinese-made binocular, two solar mobile chargers, and foreign-origin clothing, including a sleeping bag. A sizeable quantity of medicines made in Pakistan was also found.

An FIR has been registered, and a formal investigation is underway. [KNT]
