Imran Shah Urges Immediate Measures Ahead of Heatwave; Calls for Holistic Development in Anantnag
Anantnag, June 22: (JKNN) Senior National Conference (NC) leader and Vice District President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, has urged the administration to open Ranibagh Park to the public immediately in view of the impending heatwave, emphasizing the urgent need for public access to green spaces. He also stressed the importance of ensuring uninterrupted electric supply and availability of other essential services across Anantnag during this critical period.
Highlighting the historical and tourism potential of Anantnag, Shah reaffirmed the NC’s commitment to equitable development across all areas, with special focus on Anantnag. He proposed the construction of a marriage hall near Ranibagh Park to meet the needs of the congested locality, noting the lack of open space for conducting family and community functions with convenience.
Imran Shah also called for the widening of laizbal Anzullah via Anchidoora Road, as well as Janglatmandi–Donipawah Road, to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion. He further demanded the construction of a proper drainage system in Reshi Colony Bangidar and Nazuk Mohalla Anantnag to address long-standing civic issues.
Reiterating the NC’s dedication to its election promises, Shah said the party, under the leadership of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is committed to a holistic development roadmap for Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that the NC will continue to work for the restoration of statehood and the dignity, honour, and historical prestige of the region.
Imran Shah concluded by stating that the NC envisions transforming Anantnag into a model of inclusive and sustainable development, ensuring that all communities benefit equally from government initiatives.
