Srinagar 28 June, 2025: In a transformative leap toward bridging Kashmir’s academic talent with global platforms, celebrated educator Mukul Rana is all set to launch an expansive series of English language and IELTS preparation workshops across the Valley, beginning mid-July 2025.
A distinguished alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, and former English communication faculty at Japan’s Soka University, Rana brings with him over 15 years of global experience training students from Delhi to Dubai and Tokyo to Europe. His workshops in Kashmir will focus not only on IELTS strategies and spoken English, but also on public speaking, academic writing, and interview preparation—key skill sets essential for today’s competitive job and academic landscapes.
> “Kashmiri students don’t need to be changed. They just need a little polishing, and they’re ready for the world,” said Rana, echoing his belief in the immense potential of the region’s youth.
The initiative will be held in collaboration with colleges across Kashmir, and aims to fill the critical gap of mentorship and exposure that has often held back otherwise brilliant students. Rana, known for turning classrooms into launchpads, says he sees the same spark in Kashmir that he’s witnessed in global classrooms.
> “I’ve taught students from Tokyo to India, and I can say with certainty: Kashmiris are among the brightest minds I’ve met,” he emphasized.
The workshops will include one-on-one mentorship for students showing exceptional promise and interest in pursuing international education or high-end corporate careers in India and abroad.
Having hosted public speaking events at Delhi’s top venues like Taj Palace, Le Méridien, and The Lalit, Mukul Rana now brings that same ethos of confidence-building and skill-focused training to the Valley—where aspirations are high, but access has often lagged.
“Language is power,” he said. “When you teach someone how to use it, you’re not just teaching grammar—you’re giving them a voice that can travel beyond borders.”
At a time when Kashmir’s youth are rapidly embracing global opportunities—from studying overseas to remote work and digital entrepreneurship—this initiative stands out as a much-needed intervention. More than grammar or vocabulary, these workshops aim to instill confidence, clarity, and communication skills that unlock global doors.
In a region where dreams often exceed infrastructure, Mukul Rana’s workshops promise not just education—but transformation.
