Srinagar, Feb 20 :- The Court of Additional District Judge, Srinagar, presided over by Faroog Ahmad Bhat, has issued strict directions to the Station House Officer (SHO), Cyber Police Station Srinagar, to ensure implementation of its earlier restraint order dated 12 February 2026.

An order copy which lies with the Buland Awaaz News (BAN) Said that the directions came while hearing an application moved by Sandeep Mawa, through his advocate Arzan Dar seeking implementation of the court’s order restraining the respondents from making defamatory statements against him.

The applicant contended that despite the court’s clear restraint order, respondent No.2, Rakesh Handu, continues to make defamatory statements, allegedly violating the court’s directions. It was further submitted that the SHO Cyber Police, Srinagar, had failed to submit a compliance report despite explicit directions issued on 17 February 2026. Taking serious note of the lapse, the court directed the SHO Cyber Police Station, Srinagar, to summon all 16 respondents and ensure strict implementation of the order dated 12.02.2026 in letter and spirit. The court also ordered that necessary assistance shall be provided by the petitioner wherever required.

The SHO has been directed to submit a detailed compliance report on the next date of hearing, fixed for 25 March 2026. The court further warned that failure to submit the report would compel the SHO to appear in person and explain the non-compliance of the court’s earlier directions.
