SRINAGAR: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) State Spokesperson Muddasir Hassan on Monday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Abdur Rahman, the father of senior journalist and Managing Editor of Awami Reporter, Bilal Ur Rehman. Late Abdur Rahman passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
In his condolence message, Hassan described the deceased as a highly respected, dignified, and widely admired personality who was known for his honesty, humility, and unwavering commitment to public service.
”The passing of Late Abdur Rahman is an irreparable loss, not only for the bereaved family but for the entire society. He was an officer of impeccable integrity who dedicated decades of service to the development of the region,” Hassan said.
A Legacy of Dedicated Public Service
Late Abdur Rahman, a native of Tumlahal, Pulwama, had served the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) with immense distinction, eventually retiring as a Senior Manager in 2010. Throughout his career, he was widely regarded as an able, sincere, and conscientious officer.
The AAP spokesperson extended his heartfelt condolences to Bilal Ur Rehman and the entire bereaved family during this hour of profound grief. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, illuminate his grave with divine light, and bestow patience (Sabr-e-Jameel) upon the family members to bear this immense loss.
