BREAKING: Saudi Arabia Reopens Haj Portal to Accommodate 10,000 More Indian Pilgrims: Minority Affairs Ministry

Srinagar : 15/04/2025 (JKNN) In a significant development for Indian pilgrims, the Ministry of Minority Affairs announced on Tuesday that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj has agreed to reopen the Haj (Nusuk) Portal for Combined Haj Group Operators (CHGOs). The move will facilitate an additional 10,000 Indian pilgrims to perform the Hajj this year, based on current space availability in Mina.

The decision follows continued efforts by Indian authorities to ensure greater participation in the annual pilgrimage. The Ministry noted that the reopening of the portal offers a valuable opportunity for CHGOs to submit applications for eligible pilgrims under the available quota.

This step is expected to bring relief to thousands of aspiring pilgrims who were earlier unable to secure a spot due to limited capacity.
